Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) UMIT 1/1 Usha Mittal Institute of Technology college have established Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in 2022. UMIT faculties and students are the members of IIC UMIT. The goal of IIC is to promote different activities associated with the innovation, entrepreneurships, IPR and startup. These activities motivates and helps students to participate in various innovation related competitions organized by MHRD. The quarterly meetings are conducted by IIC UMIT cell to plan and review the quarterly activities. UMIT’s IIC helps students to experiment latest technologies to get some prototype for building their confidence. So the students of UMIT get suitable environment to bring their ideas into reality. The result is given by summing up the marks obtained in continuous assessment and term end exam. As per the recommendations of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), the institute declares results in Grade Point System. The Academic result for a given year is calculated as the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of the results the odd and even semester taken together. Rules for Calculation of GPA/Grades & Percentage Equivalent The final grade will be given on the basis of GRADEPOINT AVERAGE. Council and Committees Gallery Formed in the year 1965, the Computer Society of India is the first and the largest body of computer professionals in India. Today, CSI has 72 chapters all over India, 511 student branches, and more than 100,000 members.The CSI UMIT chapter was formed in 1998 and it has been instrumental in providing students with wholesome technical experience. The past 17 years stand witness to numerous students of the institute benefit from this association. We currently have about 90 members who are a part of CSI-UMIT. Every year we conduct fests, workshops, industrial visits and seminars to keep the students updated about the ever-evolving technology. We also publish a yearly technical magazine called ‘Paradigm’. CSI UMIT has been an active part of TechNext India an annual academic national conference and awards for academia, organized by CSI Mumbai chapter and hosted by IIT Bombay.
