The Student Council at Usha Mittal Institute of Technology is the main student body of the college. It endeavors to improve the institute and a student's overall campus experience. The Council strives to solve the students' problems by acting as a liaison between the students and the faculty. Council and Committees Gallery The Student Council is the main student body of UMIT. It aims to produce student leaders with the potential to embark on dynamic leadership roles involved in cultural activities, advising on rules and regulations, organization of events reinforcing teamwork and leadership. It is an elected body whose objective lies in serving the college community by representing the students and has the responsibility of integrating academics and the co-curricular sphere of students life.
