  • Institutional Values |Usha Mittal Institute of Technology

institutional Values preserved at Usha Mittal Institute of Technology. List of Program Outcome as per NBA Institutional Values Student's Growth - Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world and the mindset. Networking is a powerful tool to change of the world. Good Time Management - Use your time wisely. Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. We at UMIT value time ours and yours. Admitting we don't understand everything and have the willingness to learn - A growth mindset is the opposite– liberating, empowering, and motivating. Those with growth mindsets know that they are not limited to their current abilities and skills. Reading, Writing and Analytical skills - Nothing can replace reading and writing. Critical thinking and analytical skills are the need of the hour. Equip students to be self driven - Your degree is a proof of your knowledge, which, mostly, is taken seriously and makes your ideas/thoughts more valuable and important. Creativity and Originality - Every once in a while, a new technology, an old problem, and a big idea turn into an innovation. We think everyone can be an innovator. Program Outcomes The most significant intellectual NBA accreditation changes in the NBA Accreditation 2025 framework is the alignment with the Washington Accord 2021 (GAPC v4). While the labels (PO1, PO2…) often look the same, the definitions have changed to emphasize Sustainability and Digital Literacy across the board. Here is how the GAPC v4 engineering 11 Attributes have evolved: Engineering Knowledge (PO1) : Focus on fundamentals (Math, Science, Engineering) applied to Complex Engineering Problems. Problem Analysis (PO2) : Identify and formulate problems. Key Update: Must verify the holistic nature of the problem. Design/Development of Solutions (PO3) : Major Change. Solutions must not only meet needs but explicitly consider public health, safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations (Sustainability is now intrinsic to Design). Conduct Investigations (PO4) : Use research methods, data analysis, and synthesis of information. Modern Tool Usage (PO5) : Usage of IT tools, prediction, and modeling. The Engineer and Society (PO6) : Assessing societal health, safety, and legal issues and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities, focusing on sustainable development. Ethics (PO7) : Key Update: Now explicitly includes “inclusive practice” and equity alongside professional ethics. Individual and Team Work (PO8) : Functioning effectively in diverse teams. Communication (PO9) : Comprehending and writing effective reports, including digital communication. Project Management and Finance (PO10) : Managing projects in multidisciplinary environments. Lifelong Learning (PO11) : Readiness for technological change.
