Principal's Message of Usha Mittal Institute of Technology SNDTWU Principal's Message I am delighted to welcome you to the SNDT Women University conducted reputed engineering college-the Usha Mittal Institute of Technology (UMIT), Mumbai. Quality assurance is the prime focus of the UMIT. Six undergraduate programs viz. Electronics & Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Technology, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Data Science and the Artificial Intelligence are approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. Postgraduate programs in Computer Science & Technology and the Electronics & Communication Engineering are also approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. There are PhD recognized research centres in Computer Science & Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Infrastructure System Engineering. Performance of candidates passing from this institute is excellent. This engineering college has a rich legacy of excellence, innovation and social responsibility. Department of electronics and communication promotes projects which are Based on latest hardware and software technology. Hardware projects are based on current technologies like IOT , Robotics , VLSI etc. Software projects are based on machine learning, data science and its applications.
